The Maniar MJ-500 is a compact high pressure jetting machine on a Tata Ace chassis, with a 500 litre tank and a 13 LPM / 200 bar jetting pump driven by its own auxiliary diesel engine. It de-chokes sewer and drain lines up to 150 mm (6 in) in diameter and is small enough for narrow-access jobs that a full-size jetting truck cannot reach.
It is manufactured by Maniar & Co. in Ahmedabad, India. See all jetting machines, or use the form below to get the full specification by email.
High pressure water jetting is the preferred way to de-choke a sewer or drain line: the water jet breaks up the blockage and flushes the debris out, instead of pushing the blockage further down the pipe. The jetting hose carries water to a self-propelled nozzle that pulls itself forward through the line, and the pressure at the nozzle stays constant however long the hose is, so it cleans faster and more evenly than mechanical rodding.
The jetting pump (imported Italian make, 13 LPM, 200 bar maximum) is driven by a 10 Hp Greaves 4-stroke air-cooled self-start diesel engine, so it does not depend on the vehicle engine. It pushes water from the 500 litre tank through a 6 mm (1/4 in) x 30 m special high pressure jetting hose, rated for 3000 psi, to the self-propelled nozzle. The hose is wound by hand on a horizontal reel with a stainless steel rotary joint, mounted on a pedestal bearing. A hand gun with a 10 m washing hose and high-pressure nozzles at the rear of the chassis give extra uses, listed below.
Two nozzles are supplied as standard. The conical head nozzle (front and rear holes) is the general-purpose choice: it balances forward penetration with enough rear thrust to pull the hose along the line. The round head nozzle (front and rear holes) trades some penetration for a wider spray, which is better for flushing loosened debris back out.
Penetrator nozzles for grease plugs and tough blockages, root cutter nozzles, flusher or descaling nozzles for hardened scale, and rotating nozzles for 360 degree wall cleaning can also be supplied.
The MJ-500 carries 500 litres of water on a Tata Ace chassis. Its 13 LPM at 200 bar jetting pump drives a 6 mm (1/4 in) x 30 m hose to clean lines up to 150 mm (6 in) in diameter. The MJ-500 is a high pressure jetting machine for de-choking and desilting sewer and drain lines. High pressure water breaks up the blockage and flushes the debris out of the line.
The MJ-500 suits sewer and drain lines up to 150 mm (6 in) in diameter.
The MJ-500 has an imported Italian jetting pump delivering 13 LPM at up to 200 bar, driven by a 10 Hp Greaves diesel engine. The jetting hose is 6 mm (1/4 in) x 30 m, rated for 3000 psi working pressure.
The MJ-500 is built on a Tata Ace chassis with a 500 litre horizontal plastic water tank.
Conical head and round head nozzles, both with front and rear holes, are standard. Penetrator, root cutter, descaling and rotating nozzles can be supplied for specialised jobs.
Yes. An inspection camera can be offered as an option. It is fitted in place of the nozzle to give a live colour view down the line as the hose is fed in, with recording so you can document the condition of the line before and after cleaning.
Its lateral cleaning system has a hand gun and 10 m washing hose for cleaning equipment and containers, roads and footpaths, and garden or tree spraying, and nozzles at the rear of the chassis allow road water sprinkling.
The MJ-500 is the smallest: 500 litres, a 13 LPM / 200 bar pump on its own diesel engine, and a 30 m hose for lines up to 150 mm. The MJ-1000 has a 1000 litre tank and a 60 LPM / 140 bar pump driven through the vehicle PTO; the MJ-3000, MJ-6000 and MJ-8000 add 3000, 6000 and 8000 litre tanks and higher flow for larger lines.
