MJ-6000 High Pressure Jetting Machine

MJ-6000 High Pressure Jetting Machine, 6000 Litre

The Maniar MJ-6000 is a truck-mounted high pressure jetting machine with a 6000 litre tank on a 12 ton GVW BS VI chassis and a 226 LPM / 150 bar triplex plunger pump driven through the vehicle PTO. It de-chokes and desilts sewer and drain lines of about 500 to 750 mm (20 to 30 in) in diameter.

It is manufactured by Maniar & Co. in Ahmedabad, India. See all jetting machines, or use the form below to get the full specification by email.

How the MJ-6000 Works

High pressure water jetting is the preferred way to de-choke a sewer or drain line: the water jet breaks up the blockage and flushes the debris out, instead of pushing the blockage further down the pipe. The jetting hose carries water to a self-propelled nozzle that pulls itself forward through the line, and the pressure at the nozzle stays constant however long the hose is, so it cleans faster and more evenly than mechanical rodding.

A triplex plunger pump (imported Pratissoli or equivalent), driven through a full torque split shaft PTO fitted between the vehicle gearbox and differential, delivers 226 LPM at 150 bar from the 6000 litre water tank to a 25 mm x 60 m jetting hose. The hose is thermoplastic, rated for 170 bar working pressure and 400 bar minimum bursting pressure, and is wound and unwound by a hydraulic hose reel with a stainless steel rotary joint. A hand gun with a 10 m washing hose is provided for lateral cleaning. A 3-way valve for each hose, a pressure gauge and a hose reel control lever are on the control panel.

Key Features

  • 6000 litre mild steel water tank (5 mm, IS:2062) with internal baffle, top manhole, ladder, lifting hook and side railings
  • Triplex plunger pump (imported Pratissoli or equivalent), 226 LPM at 150 bar
  • Full torque split shaft PTO drive between vehicle gearbox and differential
  • 25 mm x 60 m thermoplastic jetting hose, 170 bar working and 400 bar minimum bursting pressure
  • Hydraulic hose reel on a pedestal bearing with chain drive, chain adjustment and stainless steel rotary joint
  • Lateral cleaning system: lance-type hand gun with adjustable nozzle (250 bar) and 10 m x 6 mm washing hose
  • Control panel with 3-way valves for the jetting and washing hoses, pressure gauge and hose reel rotation control lever
  • Water level alarm and gauge, suction filter and pressure relief valve for safety
  • Hydraulic system with Dowty or equivalent gear pump and Walvoil or equivalent control valve
  • Two coats of epoxy primer with a PU / synthetic enamel finish

Jetting Nozzles

Two nozzles are supplied as standard. The conical head nozzle (front and rear holes) is the general-purpose choice: it balances forward penetration with enough rear thrust to pull the hose along the line. The round head nozzle (front and rear holes) trades some penetration for a wider spray, which is better for flushing loosened debris back out.

Penetrator nozzles for grease plugs and tough blockages, root cutter nozzles, flusher or descaling nozzles for hardened scale, and rotating nozzles for 360 degree wall cleaning can also be supplied.

Optional Accessories

  • Inspection camera: fitted in place of the nozzle to give a live colour view down the line as the hose is fed in, with recording to document the line before and after cleaning
  • Hose counter: tracks how much hose has been fed into the line, available as a mechanical meter-wheel counter or a digital footage counter

Ideal For

  • Sewer and drain lines of about 500 to 750 mm (20 to 30 in) in diameter
  • Large municipal trunk lines beyond the MJ-3000's capacity
  • Crews that want a hose counter to track the hose fed into the line

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the MJ-6000 used for?

The MJ-6000 is a high pressure jetting machine for de-choking and desilting sewer and drain lines. High pressure water breaks up the blockage and flushes the debris out of the line.

What size drain lines can the MJ-6000 clean?

The MJ-6000 suits sewer and drain lines about 500 to 750 mm (20 to 30 in) in diameter.

What pump and hose does the MJ-6000 have?

The MJ-6000 has a triplex plunger jetting pump (imported Pratissoli or equivalent) delivering 226 LPM at 150 bar, driven through a full torque split shaft PTO. The jetting hose is 25 mm x 60 m, thermoplastic, rated for 170 bar working pressure and 400 bar minimum bursting pressure.

What chassis and tank does the MJ-6000 have?

The MJ-6000 has a 6000 litre mild steel water tank (5 mm, IS:2062) on a 12 ton GVW BS VI chassis.

What nozzles come with the MJ-6000?

Conical head and round head nozzles, both with front and rear holes, are standard. Penetrator, root cutter, descaling and rotating nozzles can be supplied for specialised jobs.

Can I add an inspection camera to the MJ-6000?

Yes. An inspection camera can be offered as an option. It is fitted in place of the nozzle to give a live colour view down the line as the hose is fed in, with recording so you can document the condition of the line before and after cleaning.

Does the MJ-6000 have a hose counter?

A hose counter is available as an option, either a mechanical meter-wheel counter or a digital footage counter, to track how much hose has been fed into the line.

How is the MJ-6000 different from the MJ-3000 and MJ-8000?

The MJ-6000 has a 6000 litre tank on a 12 ton GVW chassis and a 226 LPM / 150 bar pump with a 25 mm x 60 m hose. The MJ-3000 is smaller (3000 litres, 153 LPM at 130 bar), and the MJ-8000 has an 8000 litre tank on a 16 ton GVW chassis and a 260 LPM / 150 bar pump for the largest lines.
